BERING, Paul
Passed away peacefully after a long and full life, at Albright Manor, Beamsville, in his 89th year. Loving and devoted husband to Mary for over 47 years. Proud father to Tom Bering (Amy Pender), Marylou Ruddy (Jim), Joe Bering (Christine), and Jeff Bering (Kathy Bertrim). Loving grandfather to Matthew, Averi, Benjamin, Max, Bridget, and Claire. Predeceased by his siblings John, Elizabeth, Irene, Joseph, Peter, Mary, Anton, and Gasper (Larry), and is survived by sisters Margaret, Rose, and Anne. Paul had a great love for his family and was a favourite uncle to his many nieces, nephews, and their families. He took great pride and joy in his grandchildren. Paul will be remembered for his sense of humour, his one-liners, his love of a beer in the afternoon, and his expertise with machinery of all sorts. He was also a devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Winona. Special thank you to his niece Sharon Kszan and all the staff at Albright Manor (Second Floor) for their compassionate care of Paul. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish (934 Highway No. 8., Stoney Creek) at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
