Obituary of Linda Mae Whitwell

WHITWELL, Linda Mae (nee Felker) B.A, M.A. Peacefully, at Ridgeview Long Term Care, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the age of 67. Beloved wife of Gary of 38 years. Cherished sister of Dianne Ecker (Larry) and sister-in-law of Marilyn Rewak. Loving aunt of Debra Zahara (Tony), Scott Ecker (Mary), David Rewak (Jill), Allen Rewak and great-aunt, great-great-aunt to many. Linda had worked various positions with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board. She was a proud teacher for 33 1⁄2 years and had also spent time working in the board office. She was an avid reader, a remarkable seamstress and had an immense love for spending time with her family and going on cruises. Special thank you to Ridgeview Sara Calder nurses and staff for their tender care over the last 9 1⁄2 years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
