Obituary of Donna Jean Callowhill

CALLOWHILL, Donna Jean (née MacCarl) Peacefully at Juravinski Hospital, September 6, in her 88th year. Dearly beloved wife of Jack (John Edward). Loving mother of Norma Jean and son Douglas Richard. Predeceased by brother William MacCarl (2001). Donna was a wonderful wife and mother, and a loyal friend to everyone she knew. In earlier years, she was an active member of the community, helping with Boy Scouts and various church functions, most notably at Coronation Park Baptist Church in east Hamilton. Donna enjoyed singing, as active in many choirs, and in later years sang with women’s barbershop groups. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. Immediately following, a celebration of Donna’s life will be held in the Social Room at 500 Green Rd., Stoney Creek, first floor.
