Obituary of Raymond Frederick Neal

NEAL, Raymond Frederick Passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 78. Beloved husband to the late Catherine Neal. Proud father to David Neal (Lora) and Sue Dunn (Steve). Loving grandfather to Jacob and Julia. Survived by his sister Joyce Neal. Ray was retired from Dofasco, where he worked for 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and will be remembered for his ability to fix anything mechanical, his love of crazy hats, his card playing abilities and his incredible fondness for any type of pie. Ray's sense of humour and positive outlook remained until the end. The family would like to thank the many visitors that came to both Juravinski and St. Peter’s to visit with him. His family would also like to thank the C3 and C4 staff at the Juravinski Hospital and the 3E staff at St. Peter’s Hospital. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, 7 King St. W., Stoney Creek, on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek.
