Obituary of Kathie Wedeles

WEDELES, Mary Katherine (Kathie) On October 28th, 2016, Kathie passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her. Kathie was predeceased by Peter, her husband of 30 years with whom she shared a lifetime of love and laughter. Survived by her children Jennifer and Christopher to whom she was not only a remarkable mother but also the greatest friend. Loving mother-in-law to Julia and Wesley, sister to Janet (Don) and Jamie. Kathie will be missed by her nieces and nephews, and her many dear friends. Kathie lived a full life, enjoying each day, finding new adventures through excursions and conversation with friends and family. The family is grateful for the care she received from the staff and volunteers at McNally House in Grimsby. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, November 2 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
