I was so saddened to see that David had passed away at such a young age. I was close to Wayne when he was dating Marilyn, and also close to Eleanor when she dated Pat, then when she married Bill. I used to date Dick Snider and we hung out at the Rogers' home a lot. David was a bit younger, but I remember a really sincere, kind young man and later, a mature man who seemed to be very sensitive and just plain nice. I'm sure he got that from his parents who were always kind and welcoming to all the friends of their children. My deepest sympathy to all of David's immediate family, extended family and friends. My deepest sympathy to Mary, Lee-Ann, David and extended family on the passing of Dave. I will miss Dave and all our flying adventures, as I look back at our flights in his or my airplane be it to and from Florida, Montreal, Fargo, Regina, Edmonton, Bahamas and many more. Dave was always open to doing something and he always found the time to take part in my ideas of adventures too. I belief that life is measured by its width not by its length and Dave lived a great wide life. An accomplished pilot, How many of us can say they flew a Mig jet around the Florida Keys or travel the Arctic with other pilots and planes, that was Dave. Life is not all about flying and travel but from my vantage point he was a super Husband, Father, Businessman. He had lots of long time friends and that is a testament of the type of man he was. Dave I will miss you, hope your flying in smooth air somewhere looking down on us.

I am so deeply sorry for the sudden loss of Dave at this time. I know he will be missed by all who ever met or knew Dave through the years. I had just talked to my wife, Phyllis about when Dave and I went to Expo 67 in Montreal and the great time we had and how the Rogers family took me in at 16 years old and treated me like one of the own.
