Obituary of William "Bill" Horvath

HORVATH, William “Bill” Passed away peacefully on December 18, 2016 in York, Ontario in his 81st year. Born in Port Colborne, Ontario on July 21, 1935 to the late Louis and Mary Horvath. Much loved husband of Barbara Horvath, father of Mark and his wife Tanya, Michael and his wife Lori and Matthew and his wife Emily and the late John Horvath. Proud grandpa of Ben, Alexandra, Peyton, Madison and William. Bill was a teacher and principal for the Hamilton Board of Education for 37 years. He was a past member of the Hamilton Men Teacher’s Choir, a proud member of the Binbrook United Church and also a past Director of the Cayuga Mutual Insurance Company as well as a past chairman for the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association. Anyone who knows Bill, knows that he loved his family, farming and wood carving. We will miss him very much. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook United Church, 2617 Binbrook Road East, Binbrook, on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. If desired, donations may be made to Binbrook United Church or charity of choice.
