Obituary of Grada Johanna Wortel

WORTEL, Grada Johanna Passed away peacefully, at Shalom Manor, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Aldert for 59 years. Loving mother of John (Jewel-Ann), the late Hank, Mary Riddiough (Ray), Magdalene Boilard (Ron), Joan de Demeter (Garrick) and Aldert (Marilyn). Will be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Sunrise Court Shalom Manor for all of your kindness and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
