Obituary of Joao (John) Da Maia

DA MAIA, Joao (John)

Passed away at Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, May 22, 2017. Predeceased by his parents Maria Freire and Jose Mario Maia and his brother Manuel. He has left behind his wife Charlene, three brothers, two sisters and their spouses. He also leaves behind two sons, one daughter, one daughter-in-law and four stepdaughters. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. The family wish to thank the staff of the Hamilton General Hospital, especially nurses Alicia and Danielle for their excellent care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 304 Hwy. 8, Stoney Creek, on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
