Obituary of John Fedyk

FEDYK, John On January 31, 2010, after a battle with lung cancer, John passed away peacefully with grace and dignity. John leaves his devoted and much loved wife Ileen, his children Bill (Ildiko), Linda, Patricia (Peter), Brad (Judy), Chris (Debbie). Much loved grandfather of Sjolt (Veronica), Michael, Stephanie, Justin, Hailey, Lindsay (Ray), Chelsea, Andrew and Victoria. Great-grandfather to Danny, Marianna, Cole and Kian. John will be sadly missed by his cherished sister Ann Storrison and his twin brother Greg and many nieces and nephews. John was an Honour Graduate of Horticulture at the University of Guelph, an employee of York University and the City of Burlington. John and Ileen shared a joy of horticulture and design and were past members of the RBG of Burlington, and former owners of Mount Forest Flowers. They also shared a passion for their family, music and the theatre. Dad was always there when any of us needed him and for that we will always be thankful. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all those who have been instrumental in providing for John's care and support at St. Peter's Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Donald V. Brown, 36 Lake Ave. Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. In John's memory, donations to St. Peter's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
