Obituary of Harold Grant Forbes

FORBES, Harold Grant March 22, 1937 - February 8, 2013 At the age of 75 years, Harold passed away at his home on Friday, February 8, 2013. Loving husband and best friend of Helen Forbes (Lovsin) for 54 years. Cherished father of Dan (Tracey) and Donna, and adored Papa of Harrison and Jaclyn. Predeceased by his parents Willard and Martha Forbes. A Delta High School graduate and an employee of Firestone for 34 years. Throughout his life, he had a passion for sports, especially lacrosse, hockey, baseball, football and tennis. Over the years, Harold was an active member of the community as a coach in Hamilton and Stoney Creek. Harold’s sense of humour and kindness will be greatly missed by family and friends. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Harold’s Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers.
