Obituary of Wayne Richard Baxter
BAXTER, Wayne Richard
Peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Easter Sunday in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Harris). Cherished father of Kelly and Jennifer. Loving Papa of Willie and Ashley. Wayne is survived by his sisters Irene (the late Kenny), Vivian (Eddie), Lynne (Dennis) and brother-in-law Peter. He will also be remembered by Wally (Dorothy), Peter, Philip, Barbara, The Zizan’s, family and friends and his four-legged companion Molly. Predeceased by his parent Richard and Irene, sister Beverley (George), in-laws Les and June Harris. Wayne was a long time employee with Hamilton Paperbox for 20 years. He was also involved in little league baseball and the Hamilton Children’s Choir for many years. He enjoyed building model ships and had a talent for woodworking. Without fail we could always count on him to end a family dinner with a “bad” joke. Special thanks to St. Peter’s Hospital for their wonderful and loving care to Wayne and our family. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Liver Foundation or Hamilton/Burlington SPCA would be appreciated.
I love you! Gone too soon
