Obituary of Lynda Mae Grunow

GRUNOW, Lynda Mae (nee Muir)

In the arms of her loving husband and with her family by her side, Lynda went to heaven to be an angel on her 73rd birthday.  Lynda had a valiant sixteen year battle with 3 types of blood cancer.  Lynda was the soulmate of her loving husband John “Jack” and loving mom to Pam (Michael) and Wendy (Adam).  She was also the cherished and devoted grandmother of Lucy and Lyle.  Lynda was met in heaven by her parents Al and Ollie Muir and her in-laws Phyllis and Bill Grunow.  Survived by her brother Jim Muir (Flo), sister-in-law Diane DeNardis (the late Frank), and brother-in-law Bob Grunow (the late Hilde).  Lynda will be remembered by the many friends she has met throughout her entire life.  Special thanks to Dr. Graeme Fraser and the staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre and the special people on Ward 4C.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1 - 4 p.m. and Monday, June 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook United Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
