BUKVIC, Marija

Passed away peacefully, with her loving husband by her side, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Anton for 61 years. Devoted mother of Anton (Gale), Bob (Eileen) and Andrew (Charlene). Cherished grandmother of Derek (Gen), Daynan (Carrie), Christopher, Sarah, Anthony, Ava and great-grandmother of Olivia, Brandon and Caia. Loved sister of Elizabeth Gimpelj (late Frank), Rosalija Kos (late Frank), the late Paula Horvat (late John), the late Toncka Genorija (late Albine). Will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Peter’s Hospital Yvonne Terrace for their loving care and support. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Church, 125 Centennial Parkway N., Hamilton, on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery.
