Obituary of Michelle Anne-Marie Holan

March 20th, 1971- July 1st, 2019

Michelle peacefully left her home to be with her family above after her long courageous battle with Leiomyosarcoma. She leaves behind her two children Angelie (Perrin), Tomas and her loving husband Tom of 20 years. Predeceased by her parents Eileen, Raymond and her brother Phil. She will be sadly missed by her in-laws Hana and Mirek Holan. Michelle will also be missed by many of her lifetime family friends and friendships. Michelle was a kind and gentle person and devoted mother. She always treated people with warmth and kindness. She was a fierce soul who had a remarkable ability to keep life in perspective. Throughout the last 8 years, she was brave and endured her condition with grace and dignity. She had an immense inner-strength and regardless of her suffering put everyone’s needs before her own. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Zbuk and Dr. Badaowie, for their dedication and desire to never give up. Her last days were surrounded by the wonderful and compassionate staff at Bob Kemp Hospice. Thank you! Cremation has taken place. In celebration of her memory, visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Vigil prayers 3:00 pm. A private burial service will be held on Monday July 8, 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice .
