Obituary of Walter (Wally) Robert Gamble

GAMBLE, Walter Robert (Wally) After a brief illness at the Henderson General Hospital on Monday, April 12, 2010, of Stoney Creek, in his 85th year. Beloved husband for 60 years of Elizabeth (Betty). Beloved father of Jo-Ann and her husband Robert Murray and Mark and his wife Mary all of Hamilton. Loving grandfather of Trevor and Sarah. Dear brother of William (Bill) and his wife Jean and Dorothy LaSalle and her husband Bob. Brother-in-law of Marion. Predeceased by his brother Jack and his wife Nora and by his brother Bob. Wally was a naval veteran of WWII, a retired employee of Wallace Barnes after 16 years of service and will be remembered by many for his earlier years as a stone mason in the area. Cremation has taken place. An open house in celebration of his life will be held at James Lee Suites, 24 Mountain Ave. S., Stoney Creek on Friday, April 23 , 2010 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
