Obituary of William Russell Gamble

GAMBLE, William Russell Peacefully, at Clarion Nursing Home, on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Gourlay) of 65 years. Loving father of Louise (George) Bortolato, Karolyn (Gord) Edwards, Diane (Jeff) Haughton, Warren (Tracey), and Jim. Will be greatly missed by his 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dorothy LaSalle. Predeceased by brothers Walter, Jack and Bob. Special thanks to the staff of Clarion Nursing Home and Lakeview Retirement. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton, on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
