Obituary of Edna Mercuri

MERCURI, Edna (Gamelin)
Peacefully at Bluewater Rest Home in Zurich, Ontario on Saturday, August 24, 2019 in her 87th year.  Edna was the loving wife of the late Ronald Mercuri, cherished mother of Joanne (Jim) Abbey, Craig (Marie) Mercuri, Janice (Steve) Thurley, Paul (Betsy) Mercuri and Lori (Gary) Kuzyk. Predeceased by her son-in-law Bernie (Janice) Stanhope. She will be missed by many Grandchildren and will always be G.G. to her adored Great-Grandchildren. Edna will be missed by her sister Rosemary Papiez (the late Stanley), and brother Martin (Clara) Gamelin. She was sister-in-law to Bill (Colleen) Mercuri, Dorothy (the late Armand) Mercuri and the late Prima and Felix Papiez.  Will also be missed by lifelong friend Ellen Morelli. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11:00 am. followed by interment at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich, Ont, or your local Alzheimer’s Society.
