Baba peacefully passed away in her sleep at Grace Villa Nursing Home on Thursday, September 5, 2019 in her 92nd year. She was born in Markopil Brody, Lviv Oblast in Western Ukraine, survived the war and came to Canada for a better life. Sadly missed by daughters Lucy Burns (Cal) and Theresa Ryerse, 4 grandchildren Calvin Jr. (Jennifer), Patricia (Paul), Patrick (Melody) and Leah (Mike), 6 great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Anna, Shay-Lynn, Tanner, Adrian and Nia, Rick Ryerse and nephew Daniel. The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful staff and caregivers at Grace Villa Nursing Home. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Panachyda at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of the charity of your choice would be welcomed.
