Obituary of Emilia Filice

FILICE, Emilia

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Heritage Green Nursing Home, on Monday, September 23, 2019 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Pietro. Cherished mother of Carmine (the late Ernesta) Filice, Serafina (Frank) Filice, Antonio Filice, the late Mario (Rita) Filice and Rosa (Antonio) Piilucci. She will be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Emilia was the loved sister of 12 siblings. She is predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Rafaella Spadafora. She will also be missed by her many other family members and friends. Special thank you to the staff at Heritage Green Nursing Home for all of their loving care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 830 Barton Street East, Hamilton on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow in Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
