Jim ( Sudsy ) Sutherland posted a condolence
Wednesday, December 14, 2011
I recently heard of Jims' passing ( living in south Texas) and wanted to send my condolences to Peggy and family.
I worked with Jim for many years at BRI. He was a good man and respected by all in the Company.
He was so proud to get his 100 point trophy, a milestone of good work and one of the many accomplished in his 43 years of service.
He always enjoyed a stiff drink and a good laugh or two .

To Peg, Christine, Brian & family,
Jim was one fantastic guy. Working with him was truly one of the highlights of my Beer Store career. He made me laugh every day and I learned so much from him. Jim was candid, honest and always with a twinkle in his eye...it was so refreshing. Both of you welcomed me into your home and I always felt so comfortable and accepted. I am grateful for all of the great memories. May God's grace embrace you and give you strength. Thinking of you, Jo

When I first met Jim in 1972 at a Brewers function I was struck by his great sense of humour. As I got to know him better in later years I saw first-hand how his humour brought people together. It's a gift he can bring to Heaven because I'm sure God has a sense of humour. My sincere condolences to Peggy and family.

I will always remember the year when Jim and Peggy welcomed me, the "Christmas orphan", into their home with open arms and warm hearts, letting me be a part of their wonderful family over the holidays. A warm and sad hug to the Geekie family from Vancouver.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of our golf buddy. We know he will now be making his new golf partners in the sky make a "stutter step" (thanks to his unique putting stroke). His great sense of humour will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Jim.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,

Still loved, still missed and very dear.

It is with great sadness that I receive the news of Jim's passing.
I've had the pleasure of working with him at Copetown Woods on many occasions, and always appreciated how forthright and utterly hilarious he was with his many anecdotes and one-liners.
I wish his all his family peace and strength at this time.
Sylvain
