Obituary of Gerald Norris

NORRIS, Gerald

Peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Friday, October 11, 2019 Gerald passed at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, with his family by his side. He is reunited with his beloved wife Willeana and grandson Tom. Beloved father of Harlene and her husband Robert Newton and Gerald Thomas and his wife Diane.  Cherished grandfather of Tracey Stone, Tammy Norris (Joe Melo), and grandfather-in-law to Kim Norris. Much loved great-grandfather to Brianna, Cassie, Andrew, Sheldon, Kailyn, Brennan, Leah and great-great-grandfather to Harlan. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton Island, Gerald was the last of 9 siblings. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Retired from Dofasco, he was an active member and volunteer at the Warplane Heritage Museum. Special thank you to the staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, as well as the V.O.N. Nurses and Bayshore. P.S.W.’s for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 15th at 11 a.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. If so desired donations, to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice are welcomed. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
