Kathy was a very intelligent, loyal, kind and thoughtful friend who greatly helped me settle in to (St.) Cardinal Newman High School when I was very new to teaching. She often invited me to Sunday dinner, helped me with my various artistic projects, and gave me motherly advice when I needed it. I'll never forget that first play I did when the stage curtains wouldn't work properly, and we closed each scene together-- Kathy laughing on one side of the stage, and me on the other, pulling shut these huge drapes. That was Kathy, she was right there in whatever needed to be done. I will miss Kathy and will always include her in my prayers. She was one in a million--special to the end--a dear friend. God bless you, Kathy, dear and faithful servant of God--called home to the Father to live with Him in joy forever.

To the Dalton family, Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. Kathy was the heart and soul of Cardinal Newman. She respected each and every person, both student and staff, who came into the main office of the school. During the preparations for our yearly graduation ceremony at the Cathedral, Kathy was always ready to solve a problem and remain as the sea of calm in an ocean of stress. Kathy, may the Lord accept you into His presence in heaven where you'll be once again with your beloved Josh. Anne and Dan Smith

I had the privilege of working with Kathy at Cardinal Newman HS. She was thet heart and soul of the school . She was the kindest person showing love equally to each and every one she met. We meet few people in our life that totally exhibit the values of Christ but she was one. Jim Daly

To all the family: My deepest condolences Kathy and Josh were such a wonderful couple.. As you know I knew them well. Kathy started back in the work world as my library clerk and we had fun times together but she bound for higher places with her personality' work skills and work ethic I was at Newman for 18 years and so we got very close.. She was always "in the thick" of things whether it was staff meetings, spaghetti suppers or graduation She was a classy lady and so loyal to her friends (Rose Cicchi), her family and her church. She would never waiver from her principles and always kept us all on the right path or at least tried to. I will be away in Boston so unfortunately cannot be there in person Kathy is now with her beloved Josh and free from the debilitating effects of Alzheimers.
