She came to Toronto in 1946 and married Patrick (a fellow Newfoundlander) at St. Bridget’s Church September 12th, 1953. The family moved to Stoney Creek in 1958. Patricia made many lifelong friends through her sons’ involvement in Stoney Creek Minor Hockey and Baseball. She also loved her BlueJays. Patricia enjoyed playing Euchre with the Marion Place Card Club for over 40 years and was also a very faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Stoney Creek for over 60 years. Patricia had a wonderful gift and will always be remembered for making everyone in her family feel special and loved as if they were her ‘favourite’. Family was everything to Patricia and kept in touch with her family and extended family through emails. Gma loved her iPad that she received at the young age of 87. Our Mom loved Newfoundland and returned ‘home’ year after year. We thank her for keeping that heritage alive in her children and grandchildren and maintaining a connection with our Newfoundland family. The family would like to thank Dr. Janice Koole, Mary Ellen Shakeshaft and Julia Rock at the Hamilton Niagara LHIN, Carolina and Dawn from St. Joseph’s Homecare who all gave our mom such compassionate care and great support to our family.
