Obituary of Bob Coulter
COULTER, Robert Thomas
July 7, 1937 – December 9, 2019
It is with saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our father Bob in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Helen Coulter (nee Hawrusewitch). Loving father of Michael (Brenda), Patrick (Sandra) Sean (Danielle) and stepfather to Esther, Laura and Michelle. Cherished grandfather of Joshua (Lynn), Joel, Sarah (Sean), Heyden, Adam, Kalysta, Seth, Chloe, Noah and 3 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Bill, Tom, Jerry, Gus and sisters Marg and Jane. Predeceased by his mother Marjorie (nee Kelly), father Joseph and brother Jim. Also predeceased by his brother-in-law Roy and sister-in-law Pat. Bob was born in Bedford Township North of Kingston and settled in Stoney Creek where he became a figure within the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Bob started his career teaching at Tapleytown School and eventually becoming Superintendent. Bob was strongly involved within the sports community and eventually elected to the Bowling Hall of Fame both as Coach and sportswriter (Hamilton Spectator). In all aspects of Bob’s life he was respected and admired by many. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, December 13, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. The inurnment will take place in Bedford at a later date.
