Obituary of Patricia Mary Black

BLACK,  Patricia Mary (nee Reniewick)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia in her 76th year after a courageous lifelong battle of heart disease. Patricia passed away peacefully at Emmanuel House Hospice on December 13, 2019 with her family at her side. Predeceased by her father Gump, her mother Nan and nephew Taylor David. Survived by her husband Murray of 50 years, sons Jason (Kelley), Trevor and grandchildren Hilary, Gavin, Declan and Paige.  Also remembered by brothers Frank (Ruby), David, and nephews Neal and Steven (Lynsey). Patricia will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends. She was known for her love of life, thoughtful ways, quick wit, and unconditional love of family and friends. She enjoyed line dancing, crafts, sewing, quilting, painting and going out to dinner and a show.  Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the outstanding, caring and compassionate staff at the Cardiology Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital and Emmanuel House Hospice who provided exceptional care during her final journey. Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, December 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
