Obituary of Thomas Clifford Armes

ARMES, Thomas Clifford 1925-2010 Passed away peacefully, in his 85th year, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 6, 2010. Tom was a long time resident of Stoney Creek and most recently at Billings Court Manor in Burlington. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (Liles 1997) and son Gordon (2002). He will be missed by sons Clifford (Barbara) and Tom (Cathy) and daughter-in-law Sharon. Loving grandfather of Brian (Tiffany), Cathy (Shaun), Mike, Nicole and great-granddaughter Nevaeh. Tom will also be missed by his loving dog, Charlie. Tom was a retiree of American Can/Ball Packaging and a life time member of the HMCS Star, Royal Canadian Legion and Leander Boat Club. Special thank you to the caring staff at Billings Court, Ansley Floor, Dr. Chris Ragonetti and the medical staff of 5 West at JBMH. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, May 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a celebration of Tom’s life at 8 p.m. As per Dad’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
