Pat Cole was a neighbor of mine for 27 years. She was the second person I met when I first moved into my house. She came to my house with a bottle of Bailey's and introduced herself and told me about all the neighbors I should watch out for. Pat and Marty lived behind me and I often found Pat and her dog Curtis in my backyard when I was outside gardening. We exchanged Christmas presents and talked about publishing a book on drills she taught and used herself. Eventually she got so busy she never had time to speak to me again for the next 23 years. The last time I saw her was at Fortinos shopping and I was struck by how ill she looked.

We are so saddened by Pat’s passing.
We met her through the women’s hockey team at McMaster in the 80s and have been friends ever since. We loved her feisty attitude towards the game of hockey and of life in general.
We shared so many great times, laughs, and a few drinks with Pat over the years.
She was a great person, athlete, coach, and friend. We will miss her dearly!
With tremendous respect and affection,
Deb Adkins and Marian Coveny

"A Quiet Legend" ...has reached the finish line ... July 13 2020...
Pat Cole defined "The Power of One..."
Coach Cole spent her life committed to young people with dreams...
Pat's positive impact on the athletic-personal-professional life of hundreds is legendary.
Throughout her illustrative coaching career the accomplished athlete/coach nurtured numerous friendships.
Count the Carter family among those who loved coach Pat Cole - a dear friend - a woman "in a league of her own."
Eleanor Roosevelt penned a profound phrase about friends:
"Many people will walk in and out of your life - but - only true friends will leave footprints in your heart."
Farewell coach - a cherished friend - since 1960.
