Obituary of Brenda Theresa Farbotko

FARBOTKO, Brenda (Obergan)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Teresa Farbotko on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Hamilton General Hospital in her 89th year. She will be now be at peace with her beloved husband of 57 years, Matthew Farbotko. Loving Mama to Lucy (predeceased) (Guy), Irene (Dave), Mary (Michael), and Christine (Christopher). Proud Babci to Matthew (Caroline), Stephen (Rebecca), Luke (Dina), Samantha (Ian C.), Shelby (Ian D.), Mandy (Joseph), and Alyx (Adam). Great Grandma to Stevie. Queen Babci to Shannon. Predeceased by her brothers Michael, Walter Ted, and her sisters Vera, Mary, Anna and Nina. Brenda will be remembered by her many family members and friends from all over the world. We will always remember her silly sense of humour, her stubbornness, her stories from Africa and escaping the war, and all the time spent with her doing puzzles. Visitation for Brenda will take place at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 6 p.m. -9 p.m. To attend visitation, we kindly ask that you please book a time at www.donaldvbrown.ca. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. (please register below to attend), with a burial at Mountview Gardens Cemetery to follow. The family would like to thank her nurses Tara, Steve, Sherry, and Jessica, as well as the staff at Hamilton General Hospital 4CCU for their compassion and care during this difficult time.
