Obituary of Mario Gosgnach

GOSGNACH, Mario On Friday, March 8, 2013 in his 82nd year after a lengthy, courageous battle against a degenerative condition. Beloved father of Tony and his companion Johanna. Predeceased by his wife Giannina (2001). Also survived by his sister Pia in Italy. Mario was a lover of gardening, soccer and winemaking, but most of all, his family and God. His generosity was shown through many years of service to the church and the Good Shepherd Centres of Hamilton, where he received his 10-year volunteer pin. He was a 25-year employee of Dofasco. Special thanks to the staff of Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre for their care over the last three years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Elfrida, on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery.
