Cyndie was a warm, kind hearted person. She was the kind of person who, when speaking to her, you knew she was really listening. She was genuine and sweet and always made you feel like she truly cared. Often described as the kind of woman who would never hurt a fly; Cyndie was considerate, happy and genuinely nice. She worked hard, had compassion and lived a life of contentment.
Cyndie was a loving wife and mother. She was with her husband Peter for 40 years and their love for each other was undeniable. As a mother she was gentle, supportive and understanding. Always someone you could depend on. She was the type of mother who encouraged her kids to do whatever brought them joy, and did all she could to support their dreams and assist in making them a reality.
As young children, Kyle and Mary knew they could always depend on their mom to be present, devoted and kind. She was the kind of mom who would stay up sewing figure skating costumes, attending ball games, and providing unconditional love. The example she set for them as children would continue into their adulthood, and that guidance would eventually help them to find loving partners of their own, and soon after become wonderful parents to Cyndie’s 5 beautiful grandchildren; Mataya, Liam, Charlie, Violet and Irelynn.
Cyndie’s greatest pleasure in life was being a grandmother. She spoiled her grandchildren in every way possible; showering them with love and affection. Her very presence brought a big smile to their faces and her loving embrace was always welcomed. There was nothing Cyndie wouldn’t do for her family. You’d often find her folding loads of her children’s laundry or cleaning up after the kids. She spent countless nights doing bottle feeds, changing diapers and playing games. She always gave the best gifts and the warmest hugs. Her grandchildren meant everything to her and more.
Cyndie had a vibrant spirit and had an undeniable zest for life. Always up for anything new and exciting. She loved spending time with friends and welcomed any new adventure. She was the type of person you could always count on to say “sure.” Her cheerful demeanor and kindhearted nature made her the kind of girlfriend every woman wants. In fact, she was the kind of friend you’d more often describe as a “sister.”
She was always an incredible example of courage and positivity, but that innate optimism shown more noticeably throughout her 3 year battle with her illness. Though often in pain, Cyndie rarely complained. She never let on that she was hurt or fearful. Her consideration and concern for everyone else, even at a time of suffering, kept those closest to her at ease; something she wanted more than sympathy itself.
Cyndie was a beautiful example of what we as God’s children are meant to accomplish on this earth. She lived selflessly, she was compassionate, tender and honest. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was the embodiment of everything that is good and true. As her dearest family and friends, her life enriched our lives, we feel privileged to have known her and we are honoured to continue to lead by her example.

I will never forget the fun and laughter we had over the years. We were called "sisters" often.
You were such a good friend to me in times of need. Your laughter was infectious and I will
cherish our memories forever.
