Obituary of Dorothy Cook

With sad hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Evadne Cook (nee Neilson), January 12, 2021, predeceased by her husband George Edward Cook (June 1989), mother of Wayne (Eileen) and Michael (Sheryl), grandmother of April, Beau (Melissa) Liam, Bonnie (Derek), Melyssa (Andrew) and Sadie (Calvin). Great-grandmother to Elijah, Nikko (deceased June 2020), Perry, Sophia, Gavin and Nora. Predeceased by sister Gloria and husband Robert (Bun). Aunt to Bob (Nancy), Glenn (deceased). Cousin to Patti and Rahm. Born in Jamaica, immigrating to Hamilton, Canada with her husband where she raised her boys. We were fortunate to have celebrated her 100th birthday on September 7, 2020. Our sincere thanks to the staff of the Aberdeen Wing at Extendicare Hamilton for their affectionate and compassion care over the last 6 years.
