Bill was a quiet and very gentle man. he would lend a helping hand were ever needed . He spoke quiet and gentle to all he met.
To me he was like a big old Teddy Bear. He loved to see the little children playing around the Legion when ever we put on an event that included the kids. You will be missed Bill .
Go play with the angels now. You have earned your rest. Your Friend Rose Power

To Bill's family:
I was shocked and very sorry to read Bill's obituary.
It was my pleasure to know and work with Bill at Sears Canada.
Bill always had time to listen to others and help them in any way he could and he did it with a genuine smile.

My sincere condolences to Fran and her family on the passing of her Husband and Father.
The Battlefield Branch 622 of the Royal Canadian Legion has lost an exceptional member
and friend to all members.
Bill was a Past President of the Branch and did a lot behind the scenes that a lot of members
are not aware of.
He had a knack for being able to get Grants available from Provincial and Federal Governments
for improvements to the Legion.
Here are some of the endeavours he accomplished.
Complete renovation to the kitchen in the Main Hall-New tables for the Main Hall-
New rugs for the foyer off the main hall entering of King Street(Old Entrance)
New Dance Floor upstairs and New Floor in the East Room.
He also served on a lot of other committees.
He is truly what you would call a true Legionaire

My condolences to Frances and the rest of Bill's family on his passing. I worked with Bill at Sears for a number of years and thought he was a really great guy. He had solid relationships with everyone in the department and he just seemed to know how to get things done by working with others. He will be missed.
