We were saddened to learn of Jim's passing. His life was filled with family and friends, especially those who knew him from his days as a judoka. His warm smile and friendship made him a special person. He will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences to Marian and family.

I am so very sorry to hear that Jim has passed. I to, as my Brother Kim have wonderful memories of Jim and the many judo tournaments we attended together as families. Marion, Kevin, Marlene and Sandy, sending many hugs and prayers to each of you and your families at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Jims passing. He was always a kind and giving person during my young Judo years at the Rendokan in the early 70’s. I am thinking about all the tournaments that we would drive to. Jim was. Always there as well as his wife Marion. I remember hanging out with Kevin, Marlene and Sandy.
My dad loved Jim also but passed away last year at 92.
My prayers are with the family. Thinking of all of you.
Jim will very much be missed.

As a cousin, I feel so sad today to lose Jim. We had some fun times together last year at the mall during coffee hours. Caught up on old times!!! And the old times were great, we had many memories. Fun times at his mom and dad's home on Wellington Street North. Probably the only place during my childhood we got to visit as it was close by for my ailing father. But this photo to me is precious...I might have posted it now three times, not sure!!! But it is my wee family, just mom and dad and me, but Jim's family in total, and an uncle and couple more cousins. I have it framed as it is special to my many memories of his early childhood home...And my special aunt and uncle, his mom and dad. So difficult to lose my cousin Jim. We had just reacquainted after many years...Had many coffees together at the mall. But it was my younger years I remember so well, when he and Marian got married, I was younger so it was sooooooo exciting for a kid. And also the many good times at his mom and dad's home on Wellington Street North, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim. I feel very sad today, but glad he is no longer suffering. My heart goes out to you Marian.
