I played Bridge with Mary at Club 60 and she always livened up the place. Her energy and helpfulness made her stand out in such a fun way. I loved her crazy sense of humour. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I will miss her so much, as will her abundance of friends and her beloved family. My sincere condolences to you all.

" There is something about Mary "......in fact there is a lot about Mary......
As a good friend for 15 years, and a best friend for 2 years, we had a lot of wonderful times together.
Mary was game for anything, but as a couple of "senior" ladies, we restricted our good times to shopping excursions, lunches out, drives into the countryside, playing lots of bridge, home redecorating, making "special" Christmas cookies, and having rousing conversations on the world"s problems. She even lured me into playing scrabble, which of course she always won!!
Later on, our very good friend, Sely Trail, joined our circle, and was especially supportive in playing the role of chauffeur, and luncheon companion.
Well, Sely and I will miss our great friend immensely. Mary, may you rest in peace and enjoy your reunion with Paul
With love,
Mai and Sely

Dear Allison, Steve, Cole, Brooklyn & family, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. I have vivid memories of playing tennis with your mom. When we first met, she told me she had two grandchildren named Cole & Brooklyn. I responded that my co-worker had two children named Cole & Brooklyn. I learned that my co-worker Allison was Mary’s daughter. Her expression “loosey-goosey” always made me laugh.

Mary was a dear friend of mine since September 1963 when we both started grade 10 at Strathallan. She was one of my best friends and a member of my wedding in 1973. She was the first person I called when I came home to visit from New York or California. I last spoke to her in the summer. Allison and Jennifer and the grandchildren were always important parts of our conversations. I will miss her so much. God Bless you dear friend.

I’m so surprised and saddened to see Mary’s obit in the paper this morning. Mary and I shared a special friendship that went back 56 years to our first year at Strathallan. We could always just pick up where we left off that last time we spoke - which in this case was last summer. Allison and Jennifer and the grandchildren meant the world to her. We have shared so much over the years and I hold her friendship deep in my heart. I will miss her dearly.
