The picture of your Mom, with the great smile, is the one she always greeted us with her friendly 'Hello girls'. She was a very special friend to my Mom, perhaps her first Hamilton friend and she was so grateful to have her. I know she was very supportive during my Mom's most challenging health issues. What a wonderful friendship they had; so many laughs throughout the decades! And the phone calls, the 10 minute limit did not apply to Mom & Izzy!

My condolences to Rob, Ted, Paul and Christine. I have so many wonderful lovely memories of your mom and your dad as you know our parents were best of friends. I remember the frequent weight watcher meetings with my mom every Monday, the wonderful warmth and fun at the cottage in Combermere, admiring your wonderful Christmas tree yearly or the frequent bridge games. Your mom always very welcoming with her health advice, and my sisters loved her and your Dad. I am sure they are playing cards right with gang.

To Christine, Rob, Paul and Ted - My sincerest condolences over the loss of your Mom - she had a smile as wide as ocean and infectious laugh! Our parents had some fantastic times together and our moms would spend countless hours on phone (probably talking about us!). If only we all had a group of friends that survived six or seven decades - that's a lot of loyalty. I'm sure they are all looking down on us having a game of bridge right now. May God bless.

Mrs. Hallas was a genuine lovely lady that was one of my mom's (Margaret Glassco) best friends. They played many hours of bridge with Mr. Hallas and Dad (Joe Glassco) right by their side. She was always so kind, gracious and compassionate .

I received word that your mother had past away. My condolences to all of you. It is very hard to accept the loss though I knew she was not well

Very sad to hear of Mrs. Hallas' passing (always Mrs. Hallas) to me. She was one of a kind, a truly nice person, who always made you feel welcome whether it was in her home, or at the cottage, or anywhere for that matter I will always have fond memories of her and the times spent in her company. She will be missed! My heart goes out to all her family.
