Remembering many happy years making syrup with Uncle John in his sugar bush. While working together in the Monteagle Roads Dept. he taught me many things about building roads. He was known in the area as one of the best gradermen. My Dad (his brother) told me that his favorite song was;
"My sins were as high as a mountain
They all disappeared in the fountain
He wrote my name down for a palace and crown
Oh praise His dear name I am free"
