Obituary of John Ferber

September 3, 1953 – May 24, 2021

“Every day is a special day; make the best of it.” That was John Ferber’s motto and he lived by it. John worked hard to create a good life for his family, and he appreciated all his blessings. He smiled and laughed easily. He leaves behind friends and family with memories of many happy times over the years. With him along his journey always was his wife, Doreen (Dody) Martin-Ferber. Their 41-year marriage gave John great joy and strength and was a testament to the real beauty and resilience of love. He was the proudest loving father of Sarah (Malcolm), Michael-John, and Evan (Gillian), and proud Papa to granddaughters Lilyana, Nolan, Jade, and Maya. He is survived by his brother Klaus (Carol) and sister Carin (Greg). He loved his dogs Zeke and Baron and his horse Fancey. John goes now to join his predeceased parents, grandparents, and other loved ones. Thank you to the health care workers who supported John in recent years. A private family service will be held with interment at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
