Obituary of Willard Chaisson

Passed away peacefully, at Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the age of 79. Beloved son of Bella and the late Alphonse. Cherished Father of the late Michael (Joanna), Richard (Jody) and Shelley Chemerys (Steven). Much loved Grandpa to Julia, Jenevieve, Connor, Michael, Joseph and Matthew. Dear brother of Betty, the late Ernest, the late Peter, Leonard, Joe, Catherine, Albert and their families. Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Willard was born in Prince Edward Island and later moved to Hamilton. He loved to spend his time outdoors, and especially enjoyed his time fishing. He was a proud millwright and business owner. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 934 Highway 8, Stoney Creek on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens, Stoney Creek. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in accordance with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario facial mask/coverings are required.  Please visit the Funeral Home website at www.donaldvbrown.ca to register your attendance for services due to limited space availability.  Visitors will only be accepted by scheduled appointment and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until their allotted time. Congregating on premises is prohibited. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada, Parkinson Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
