Obituary of Robert E. Whyte

Peacefully, on June 25, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital in his 81st year.  Beloved husband of the late Eva Whyte.  Cherished father of Mandy (Brad) and Kim (Tom).  Devoted grandpa of Ryan, Ethan and Jadyn.  Robert will also be missed by his sister Margo (Jim) and their family. Bob spent the majority of his career as a Manager at Eaton’s and in major appliances sales at Sears. He was an avid curler and golfer, loved to be surrounded by friends and family and his infectious laugh will be missed dearly.  Special thanks to the caring staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, Lincoln Terrace for the phenomenal care.   Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in accordance with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario facial mask/coverings are required.  Please visit the Funeral Home website to register your attendance due to limited space availability.  Visitors will only be accepted by scheduled appointment and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until their allotted time. If you have not registered, you will not be admitted.  Congregating on premises is prohibited.  A private family service and interment will take place at Eastlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter’s Hospital Lincoln Terrace would be greatly appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
