Samcevic, Milan “Mike”

Passed away peacefully, on July 7th 2021, at Juravinski Hospital at the age of 84.  Beloved husband of Gorjana Markovic, always in my heart and never forgotten.  He will be loved and missed by his stepdaughters Snezana (Mike) and their children Nicolina and Lazar, Vesna and Zorica.  He is predeceased by his devoted wife of 44 years Milija (2009) and will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Suzana (Nino), Tatjana (Dragoljub) and grandchildren Natalia, Ivana and Filip.  Survived by his brother Dimitrije.  Predeceased by his brother Milorad and sister Darinka.  He will be remembered by many family and friends in Canada and Serbia. Milan enjoyed socializing and had a sense of humour that blessed many.  He was very active and spent his free time enjoying and sharing his love of gardening and nature.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in accordance with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario facial mask/coverings are required.  Please visit the Funeral Home website to register your attendance for services due to limited space availability.  Visitors will only be accepted by scheduled appointment and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until their allotted time. If you have not registered you will not be admitted.  Congregating on premises is prohibited.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. with Pomen at 7:30 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating.  Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
