For over a year we have been banging pots and Helen has been ringing her cowbell; to thank frontline workers fighting COVID-19. Even on cold winter days Helen came out. We chatted afterwards and heard stories of Helen fishing in the Welland Canal. Helen talked about our neighbourhood from years ago. She told us stories of her family and the many trips that she took with Ernie. Most often we talked about food and we learnt what was Helen’s favourite alcoholic drink was ___ in the city. Neighbours became good friends. We will always cherish these memories. Helen’s quick Witt, Honesty, great sense of Humour and Endearing smile will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Helen. Helen was a great grandmother. I always came to visit her whenever I could, whether it be for lunch or supper, swimming and/or cleaning her pool, Christmas and even cutting her lawn. She will be sadly missed.

We would like to send our condolences to all of Helen's family.
She was a delight to serve and spend time with.
In a winter visit we arrived finding her shoveling snow in the laneway so that we could park our car. . An amazing lady, always proud of her family and home.
She will b missed . Don and Doris

Mrs Roggie was like a second mom to me. She took care of many of my dinner needs through the years, taught me how to smock a garment, and introduced me to Cracked Glass Pie. I spent many days and nights at her home with Star. We played cards, ate frozen cherries and laughed and awful lot. I will miss her and loved her dearly. One of the funniest moms in the “survey”. A good one has left this world.

We love you Helen. Your friendship, these many years, has truly been a gift from God. We have so many memories of our times in Laughlin, here at home, Stage West (remember your sinking chair?) and wherever our time together took us. Thank you for your friendship, your wonderful counsel and your love.
Many thanks to your family for sharing you, and Ernie with us. We are forever grateful.
Love always,
John and Angie Heugh
