Obituary of Ronald Delbert Foster

Peacefully, after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer at Welland Hospital on September 15, 2021 with his wife Drifa by his side Ron passed away at the age of 71 years.  Cherished father of Lanya (Howie), Denny, Ben (Michelle) and step-father of Magga, Drifa (Joi), and Arna (David).  Loving grandfather of Aidan, Claire, Blake, Leia, Chase, Declan, Anthony, Kristdor and Asgerdur.  Survived by his sister Donna and sister-in-law Nicki.  Predeceased by his brother Rick.  He will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews, many cousins, co-workers, and friends.  Ron enjoyed spending his time in Thornbury at the family cottage fishing with his cousins and friends.  He was a longtime employee of Dofasco, retiring after 44 years of service.  Thank you to everyone who has supported Ron and our family over the past few years.  Special thank you to Wayne Stevens for the daily phone calls which meant so much to Ron.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 12 noon until the time of Eulogy at 3 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
