Obituary of Roy Walter Neville

It is with heavy hearts the Neville family announce the passing of Roy Walter Neville on October 16th in his 90th year. Roy was the loving husband and dedicated partner of the late Barbara (nee Bell) for over 64 years. Cherished father of Jerry (Lynda) Neville, Barry (Cathy) Neville, Brenda (Glen) Johnson and Steven (Nancy) Neville. Treasured grandfather to Kristen Randall, Derik (Julie) Neville, Brian (Darby) Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Chantelle (Ryan) Shaver and Matthew Fletcher. A wonderful great grandfather to Amber and Carson Neville, Ashley and Bradon Murray, Jacob, Evan and Hailey Shaver. Loving brother to Donna Beaton. Roy was a partner of the Hamilton Lumber stores. He loved to curl and was an avid woodworker. He volunteered at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum as a tour guide for over 30 years and supported the 447 Wing, Smithville and Stoney Creek Legions. Special thank you to the amazing staff at Albright Manor in Beamsville. Their love and compassion for the residents made dad’s final years a joy. In keeping with dad’s spirit, please donate to the 447 Wing or Smithville Legion or the Stoney Creek Legion in lieu of flowers. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 7th from 1-4pm at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Please note all COVID restrictions apply including proof of double vaccination. There is construction on Airport Road so please plan accordingly and follow detour signs.
