I want to thank Jerry’s girls and granddaughters for sharing Jerry’s life with all of us . Being Jerry’s cousin I also have some great memories. Jerry used to come to visit us on Manitoulin Island with his grandson J.D.
I also remember when I was about 14 I would get I ride with Jerry to Blenheim to visit my cousins in the transport truck he was driving for Om Cor. Those were special memories.
I’m sorry we couldn’t be there yesterday, but appreciate that it was utube. Our condolences and our prayers are with you.

Our sincere condolences to Jerry’s family and friends. He will surely be missed.
Good memories came back to us from the time I (Peter) stayed at Oom Piet’s and tante Menks’ house in 1973. Jerry dropped by several times with his big truck.
Loes and I also met him at the big Groenewegen reunion on Manitoulin island. We still wear this cap that he gave to everybody in a goodie bag.

A Proud Hunter with his Harvest and surrounded by his friends.
To Jerry’s family.
Please accept our condolences on his sudden passing. Jerry became a friend of our club 13 years ago. He quickly earned our respect and friendship when he harvested a moose on his first day with us. He always arrived at camp with a big smile and laugh we will never forget. Not to mention the treats he brought from home. He loved the woods and the moose hunt. He has left us, but will always be with us.

Dear family and friends of Jerry.
Jerry's passing brings back wonderful memories of our many visits to Blenheim in our younger days.
I remember Jerry's big smile and happy nature, always taking the time to ask little Johnny (me) a few
questions about my life etc. I was intrigued with his job as a truck driver and I'm quite sure his CB handle
and nickname was "Flash" - so cool.
We pray for God's comfort and peace to be with you in a mighty way during this time of loss.

Jan and I would like to send our sincere condolences to Jerry’s entire family. One of my great memories of Jerry is that in 1954 he used one of Uncle Cors' big trucks to move our family from Leamington Ontario to Ancaster Ontario. He invited me to drive with him which was a big deal in itself! However he topped that by stopping at a Dairy Queen and buying me an ice cream cone! For an eight year old immigrant kid, it didn't get much better than that!

It is with sadness that I receive the news of cousin Jerry passing - unexpectedly. Sad, especially for the immediate family. My condolences. I loved the picture of Jerry on the tractor. One of the enduring memories I have is Jerry inviting me (a 4 year old) to get up on the tractor with him at Oom Piet and Tante Menks' farm. This was in 1954/55. He drove fast. I was in shear terror - and admiration of my BIG cousin.

I have never met Jerry but my memory is through the eyes of his daughter Teresa. When she talked about her father she was filled with love and admiration. Theirs was a great daughter father bond. I lost my dad years ago and I miss that bond. Take care of each other and cherish your memories.
