John was a very great blessing to me as we enjoyed many happy activities during Pastor Morelands Ministry at Delta Tabernacle.
The two of us were determined not to yield to the invitation from Pastor Jay Mapstone to attend a particular Sunday evening church service when Rev. Berty Crooks from Parry Sound was the evangelist for the week. As we drove around in John’s car we tried to verbalized how we were going to resist getting sucked in by the invitation stuff!
Both of us made haste to go to the Alter when the invitation was given, to yield our total wills to Jesus Christ! Our lives were transformed that evening and both of us remained faithful to the call to serve our Lord to this Day.
John chose Ishbel as God’s choice for a wonderful wife.
Ruth Ann and I Pray for added strength and blessing for John’s family at this time.

When Leslie and I joined Delta Tabernacle back in the early 1980’s, John and Ishbel were one of the first couples we met. We wish to extend our condolences to Ishbel and the Roberts Family. We will miss his smiling uplifting greeting at Paramount Drive Alliance Church each Sunday.

I knew John only over the past three years as me and my family were new to PDAC. I would purposely go up to him to greet me into Church. He had the sweetest smile that brought so much love and joy to my soul. The first time he shook my hand I told mom after "he is my favorite". He will be deeply missed.

From Delta Tabernacle to PDAC, John was always a pillar and the finest example of living with Christ every moment. I got to really know John as part of the Maintenance Committee and talks after meetings. John liked to talk about the many visible and hidden accomplishments that his friend, Jack Thomson, did around the church. In a similar way, I don’t think we will ever be able to recognize all of the works and accomplishments that John did.
John, you have left a deep hole in our lives, but know that through your teaching, leading, mentoring and living life with Jesus as your guide, there are many lives which are better for knowing you.
Our condolences to Ishbel, Martin and the entire Roberts family at this time of loss. We mourn with you, but also rejoice that John is now with his Saviour!

I was sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Roberts. I remember his great presence at Paramount on Sundays throughout the years. He demonstrated to many what it meant to live a life honouring God. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to Mr. and Mrs. Roberts and Martin at church on Sundays. Although he will be missed by many, I hope that everyone who knew him can find peace that he is at home in the presence of his Lord.
My condolences to the Roberts family.

So sad to hear of John’s passing. He is fondly remembered by the Conrad family. A gentle man of strong faith who shared his knowledge and love of God to all he met. I can still recite Isaiah because of his Sunday School classes. John and Isabel were one of the first people I met at Delta and immediately I felt welcomed. In the years to come Wayne would often look to John for advice and friendship. I know he appreciated his wisdom and support as did I. I pray for God’s grace and peace for the Roberts family as you grieve his loss. Heaven has gained a true man of faith.

Mr. Roberts was a strong man who was always so loving and friendly even to the younger kids within the church. He always welcomed people with open arms and he was highly respected by my family and especially my father (Wayne Conrad). Please accept our condolences and love for Ish and the Roberts family.
This news was bittersweet for our family to hear as Mr. Roberts will be missed each day but was welcomed by so many in heaven upon his passing. Lots of love to the family.

My Dad George Johnstone mentored John when they both worked at Dofasco in the machine shop. My mom and dad admired John and they became good friends. John and Ishbel came to both my parents funerals. I looked after Martin and Wesley on Sunday nights when they attended church.
I am very sorry for your loss. John was a very caring person who also visited Dad when he was in the nursing home.
God bless you Ishbel, Martin and Wesley. I am sure John is looking down and watching you from heaven.
Hugs
