My memories of Uncle Butch are some of my absolute favorites. He was funny, kind and entertaining. He always had time for us kids to take us out in the boat, pretending to be a pirate and us his crew. He kept us laughing and giggling the whole time. Other times were quieter and he would take us out at dawn to drop our lines in the water. I am so very sorry for Randy and Rose, his grandchildren and all who loved him, which is pretty much everyone who knew him. He was that kind of man. Rest easy uncle Butch and know that we all love you so very much. You will be greatly missed. I will especially miss you dropping by to brighten my day (with Randy of course) I love you.

Butch and myself were co-workers at Dofasco for many years. He was always a polite, whimsical and good hearted character. I was saddened to read of his obituary in the newspaper. Sleep well buddy. David Manneke
