So many memories of the Mayor of Greenbough Lake. The Gove cottage was among those that he helped enlarge in 1984. As the man in charge, we girls tried to catch some sun hidden behind strategically placed towels on the clothesline only to hear him bellow “where’re those girls?”! Watching the Y n R on his tv with a beer! And he loved kids; they never annoyed him. Sean and Alex’s favourite photo of him standing patiently with an umbrella while they put on funny faces. Thinking of Dorothy and his family.

We wish to express our condolences to your family. We have lots of childhood memories of the Hunting Club that our Dads belonged to and the many summer picnics with the Hewins, McAngus, Rees families. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Condolences to Dorothy, Richard, Betty, Gary and families.
I was sad to hear Ralph had passed away. I have fond memories of him and his family at the Hunt Club picnics at Lake Erie. He would take the kids water skiing. Later, when we helped him clean lumber to build the cottage. Always enjoyed a drink with him in the sunroom at the cottage.
He was the last surviving member of the hunt club group of Duffy, Walker and Burkholder that built cottages at Greenbough Lake.
Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
Sharon and Bob Sivak and families.

To Dorothy, Betty, Richard and Gary, and your families, Val & I send our sincerest condolences over the loss of your husband, father and grandfather.
Uncle Ralph was a great man, and I will always remember the times we would visit your home on Christmas Day. I will also never forget the time we took Brett, and my parents, to see him at the cottage. He picked us up in his huge Dodge 6x6, drove those rough logging roads with us, and his own grandkids, bouncing around the back. He took us for a troll around the lake so he could point out all the cottages he helped build, and so I could drop a line in and catch a bass. Well, I did catch one and he fileted it for me, cleanly cutting the sides off the fish, and then handing the still living fish to his granddaughter to throw back to grow more meat! I can't remember which granddaughter it was, but the look on her face when she looked at him and just responded with "Grampa!!", now that was priceless.
Prayers to you all.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Ralph was always larger than life. Anytime we had a chance to meet up with him was always special. Not a day goes by that we don't appreciate the camp he and his family built. His picture hangs on wall above where he used to sit as a tribute to him.
