Dad, you spent breakfast and lunch here on earth, then departed to your heavenly home for Christmas dinner with mom and those who have gone before you.
You slipped away peacefully but I still miss you badly.
We kept our promise to mom, took great care of you til the Lord called you home. You were a real trooper and never complained especially this year with the various moves that were needed to meet your care needs. We recently got you settled into Arbour Creek Care Centre and I’d imagined much more time together with you.
Tears and a broken heart is what I have but I’m also hanging on to the memories of a great dad, husband and papa. You are loved by many. Until I meet you again,
Denise xoxo

My condolences to the Petsche family. I remember John as a kind and gentle man of faith, as I came to know him and Lorraine from their visits to St. Peter's Hospital. "Well done, good and faithful servant..." (Mt. 25:23). May John rest in peace in the arms of the Almighty.

I consider myself fortunate to have known John and his wife Lorraine as associates of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. He was a kind and gentle man, devoted to his family and his faith. My sincere condolences to his family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Sending our condolences to our cousins & the grandchildren of our uncle who was a calm & kind family man. Uncle John was strong, steady, and resourceful. He and Lorraine raised passionate, intelligent & caring daughters who continue the family legacy of faith and family first.

To the family of John!
We remember John from family celebration gatherings in times past as a quiet, dignified gentleman. He was also the builder of our beautifully crafted cabinet-shelf unit in our family room that withstood time and a bunch of grand children.
Although we cannot be there today in person we extend our sincerest condolences to all the family
with love

Dad's COVID lockdown birthday this year. I was just arriving with the cake when I learned the hot-off-the-press news that visitors to the retirement home were no longer allowed. I was totally deflated. But the retirement home staff said they'd ensure Dad got some cake. They made a fuss over him e.g. gave him this hat, sang Happy Birthday, etc. Then they emailed me this picture. So nice of them!

In his quiet, resilient way, Dad showed that it's possible to live with Alzheimer's disease with Dignity and Grace, to the end of one's natural life. He has taught me more than I probably even realize. Certainly all the most important things. Right to his last breath.
