I have many fond memories of Edith and seeing her in Stoney Creek when I was blessed to spend time with Dita, Dan and family. I remember Edith as a prayer warrior who always sought the Lord in everything she did. I heard many stories of how beloved she was by her patients , and how she took the time to care for each person as an individual. She imparted her wisdom and grace to all those who came into contact with her, and I remember her elegance as one of her many notable attributes. What a blessed reunion she is having now in heaven with her precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Dita, Dan, Daniel, Chris (Laura) and Egon, Rebecca (Jacky) and extended family please know that we will pray that God holds you close as you grieve the loss of, and celebrate the life of this remarkable servant of Christ, Dr. Edith Stepita. She will be greatly missed.

Your mom was always a special friend to my dad and Vera Hamilton. She became my friend about 3 Christmases ago when she gave me an Orchid that is still blooming today. We loved meeting her every week at Coffee Hour and then at church. All are special memories for us. Hugs to you both.

Dear Dita, Egon and families, It was such a pleasure to know your Mother, Dr. Edith, through the Stoney Creek Christian Seniors Coffee Hour that she faithfully attended each week. She always had a front row seat where she could have great conversations with her friends. She was especially delighted to know that Helen and I had visited her home country of Slovakia and particularly the city of Bratislava. We will miss her welcoming smile and hearing her faith story.

Although we only met with your mom on those occasions when we were visiting with her friends Erika and Frank Svoboda, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. Edith was one of the smartest, sweetest and feisty women we've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She meant so much to her friends. We know how she helped Erika through her loss - how many times they spoke on the phone. It is hard to lose a parent - a good friend - a sweet confident. We pray that your feelings of deep loss will be overcome by the many wonderful memories you have of this wonderful woman.

Dear Dita, Egon, and family,
Your mother was a beautiful soul that left a trail of beautiful memories.
I have many wonderful memories of Dr. Stepita over the years that I will always cherish. Working for her was an honor. She was a caring, joyful, and intelligent physician, and patients respected and loved her. She loved everyone and always knew how to help people. She always went out of her way– making kids feel safe or making extra calls to elderly patients that she hadn't heard from. She would even follow up with them after hours. When she decided to retire, her patients and I were very sad. Before she retired, she made sure that each of her patients was directed to another doctor. We had a retirement party for her that many of her patients attended. They loved her and felt they would never have another family doctor like Dr. Stepita. I think she lives on in many of us that had the pleasure of knowing her throughout the years.
Dr. Stepita was family– we spent years working together, shared the Hungarian language, met each other's families (I will never forget how she loved my family and welcomed my own mother when she visited from Hungary all those years ago), and continued to stay in touch after she retired. I will miss her phone calls and visits dearly.
Love you Edith neni forever and I know one day we will meet again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Rest in peace,
Maria Adamek and family

Edith was a dear and trusted friend of our family, particularly for our parents and uncle.
Our family has many memories and photos of meals shared, time spent at each other’s cottages and other travel destinations.
As an inspiring woman of faith and a caring, compassionate physician, she always took the time to listen deeply, with her whole heart.
Her gift of languages was a blessing to all she came in contact with, as she communicated and ministered to them in their native tongue.
Our sincere condolences are extended to everyone in the family.
May God bless you with many joyous memories of your wonderful Mother and Grandmother.
Edith touched many lives and we count ourselves blessed to have been among them.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Stepita's family. She was a caring doctor and an amazing human being. My most loving memory of Edita is when I had surgery and was unable to do anything. Edita came to my home to check up on me and she made dinner for my family because I was not able to get out of bed. I considered her to be not only my doctor but a loving friend. RIP Edita.
